I am Katie Curry and I lead PE at Crabbs Cross Academy.

PE is an important part of our curriculum and is important in the development of our children.  Our PE curriculum is designed to be engaging, allowing children to make progress in a range of sports and physical activities.  PE teaches our children the importance of remaining active, helping them develop the habit of exercising regularly.  We do this with the intent that all of our children will develop a love for a range of PE activities and continue to make healthy lifestyle choices, as they get older.

PE Kit

PE is a statutory part of the curriculum.  At Crabbs Cross Academy we expect our children to wear suitable PE kit to lessons.  This consists of:

• Black shorts, or jogging bottoms in winter months
• A red t-shirt
• Trainers (with a velcro fastening if they are unable to tie laces)

Spare kit will be made available for children.

Children will be asked to tape their earrings for PE lessons and to tie their hair up if it is long.
